A caregiver is someone who provides emotional and physical care for a person who is ill. Caregivers can be family, friends, partners, or neighbors.
Caregiver burnout is common among cancer caregivers. It can result in mental, emotional, and physical exhaustion. Burnout can be prevented through a combination of self-care, delegation, and education.
